Galatians: Freedom Through Christ - Live By Faith

Scripture to Read: Galatians 3:10-14

Everyone has a choice. We can either live under the curse and continue to gratify the desires of the flesh or we can chose Christ and live redeemed from the law.

The beautiful reality is that we are not only forgiven for our sin, but we are redeemed from the consequence or the curse of sin. We do not have to pay the consequences of sin because Christ became sin for us. He took the curse, redeemed those who are His, and gave the gift of the Holy Spirit!

If that doesn't get you fired up, I don't know what will!

Galatians: Freedom Through Christ - The Promise

Scripture to Read: Galatians 3:15-29

God has shone His love for us in this, that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. While the law cannot save us, and it is only by faith, the law does serve a purpose.

The purpose of the law is not simply to challenge or chastise, but, in a far more beautiful way, to guard us. As someone watching over a child, making sure the child stays healthy, safe, and doesn't die, the law guards us as well.

We are not saved by the law, but we are saved from the law so that we now live in Christ! Because of that, we are heirs according to the promise God gave to Abraham!
